Remodeling
At Graniterra, we believe every successful project starts with good planning.
Planning Stage
During this first meeting we begin by listening to your needs. Our designers will meet with you to understand your lifestyle and how you plan to use your space. If necessary, a designer will visit your project and take initial measurements to start the design process. Then we will identify your general budget, preferences and any special needs. These steps allow us to generate a design specifically tailored for you. Also, at this time our production staff may visit with you to ensure a complete understanding of your project.
Conceptual Design Agreement
In this stage we have developed a conceptual design for your project, selected preliminary finishes, and identified specific components that are part of the design, i.e. plumbing fixtures, appliances, etc. Also, a detailed description of the scope of work will be provided on your project. In this meeting our designers will present to you detailed floor plans, elevations, and prospective drawings unique to your design. At this time, a more specific budget will also be established based on design & selected finishes. To proceed from here, the amount of 5% of the anticipated budget is required to produce the final design documents & drawings. We will visit with you as needed to make sure all plans & selections are refined.
Final Plans and Documents
In this stage the design plans and contract documents are reviewed and finalized. All material selections, finishes, and individual components of the projects are defined. A complete scope of work and material list will be provided with the final documents. At this point 50% of the contract is required in order to procure material and products.
Pre-Construction Meeting
In this stage our production department has ordered all the necessary components of your project and has an anticipated construction start date. In this meeting we will provide you with an approximated construction schedule & timeline for your project.
Construction
As demolition and construction get underway, the production department will ensure your home is protected during construction and that all necessary materials are available as needed. We are committed to completing your project quickly and keeping you happy in the process.
Substantial Completion & Punch List Meeting
When the construction is substantially complete (95%), our project manager will meet with you to ensure your satisfaction with our quality, and identify any possible deficiencies. A list will be compiled to complete any outstanding items.
