The Graniterra Story
Graniterra first opened in St. Louis as a granite import facility 20 years ago under the name European Tile & Marble, located on S. Jefferson Avenue in the Lafayette Square area. As the business grew, Graniterra built an expansive 40,000 sq ft facility on Kingshighway and changed the name to Graniterra. The roots begin though when Graniterra’s owner, Alex Elzein, was a child. Alex worked in his family’s stone business, accompanying his father on construction projects and buying trips where he learned the inner workings of the business and craft. After earning his P.E. in engineering, Alex returned to the stone business to guide Graniterra as St. Louis’s premiere source for natural stone.
We’re family owned and have made it our mission to be the go-to fabrication shop for natural stone in St. Louis. We can help you with anything you need from A-Z!
I’ve been involved in the natural stone business since I was 12 years, when I accompanied my father on my first stone project. It was tough work and I am thankful for the experience because it taught me the value of hard work and has helped me build the knowledge and experience I use everyday to serve our customers with superior service, always!

Meet Callie
Meet Callie, short for Calacatta Lusso, the stone of which she is named after!
Callie showed up on our doorstep one morning as a sick, underweight helpless kitten. She had a cold and was very underweight, so much so we thought she was several months younger than she actually turned out to be! When she first came to us, she was shy, very cuddly, and wanted to be held at all times.
Now that she is healthy and growing, she has a playful personality that is shining! She still loves to cuddle, but now she plays all around our showroom, loves to chase ice cubes or her toys, and begs for us to put cat tv on our computers for her to watch. She loves it when customers come in and give her attention, she especially loves when kids come and play with her.
Our sweet girl is super social and wants all eyes on her!
