NKBA’s Industry Trends for 2013

Gray Color Schemes

Gray color schemes in both kitchens and baths have witnessed a dramatic escalation since 2010, particularly over the past year. Used currently in 55% of kitchens and 56% of bathrooms, shades of gray are growing in appeal, creating chic, sophisticated spaces that many consumers desire.

White Cabinetry

This year, transitional-style kitchens and baths have clearly surpassed traditional styles, a longstanding favorite.
White Cabinetry always looks light & bright.  Never really out of style but currently it is very popular.

Easy-Clean Sinks

Touch-activated faucets in kitchens with satin-nickel finishes. These faucets are great when you have messy hands!
Undermount sinks in bathrooms.  My guess is this is here to stay.  It is more elegant then overmount & easier to clean around than a vessel bowl.

Also, we at Graniterra, have witnessed a rising trend in white stones.   It’s not surprising considering white stones compliment both grey color schemes & white painted cabinetry. If you would like to consider white stone for your new remodel, or are looking at granite or other natural stone surfaces, contact us for a quote or more information.
